During the last month almost whenever i boot my system
with Windows 2000 SP4,as soon as everything appears
normally in the desktop and every service runs, with no
error messages at all, right after 2-3 seconds a blue
screen appears with the following information:
STOP:0x000000D1(0x00000044,0x00000002,0x00000000,
0xEB6E22D4)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
ADDRESS EB6E22D4 BASE AT EB6E0000,DATESTAMP 3E25BA6E-
uhcd.sys
Dump of physical memory.
---------------------------------------------------------
Now this uhcd.sys stands for Universal Host Controller
Driver.I have checked it's version is 5.00.2195.6655.
Probably this is where the problem is due to.More likely
due to the recent installation of SP4 or another
patch, that actually caused some error to that module.
Now in the 'Hardware Properties' in my 'Computer' every
device is working absolutely properly as well as the Via
USB Univeral Host Controller, that has a dependancy on
that system file.Mark that i have not made any hardware
change during the last months. So what must i do?
Should i replace uhcd.sys with an older version?Update it?
Do sth in the registry?
Needless to say i have gone through almost every report
and knowledge base concerning the issue.
Please help...

You *did* install recovery console as a boot option,
right? If not, you'll have fun trying to run it from the
disk. It can be done, but it's a pain. I would log into
recovery console and replace the offending driver with one
from your original w2k disk until you can get the machine
up and running again. Good luck.
