Kristina

I cannot get my computer to start. I get error message
that Windows has detected a problem and is shutting down
to prevent damage to computer.

I have tried to get in safe mode, last known good, etc.
but nothing works. I cannot reinstall from XP cdrom, it
just goes to Blue Screen.

I have not installed any new hardware.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Kristina

Open the case and check to see that all cards/connections are tight and/or
seated properly. Oddly enough, these things sometimes work themselves loose
and cause trouble.

have you gone in to bios startup and disabled floppy boot as first boot device, try selecting boot device cd rom as first and only boot up device
hope this helps
