Hi

I have several machines running AntiSpyware and all but one have the
standard red/yellow/black rings icon on the system tray.
One has an icon with blue rings.
Is the system trying to tell me something?
There is no spyware reported.

Obviously all the colours elsewhere are correct - it's not a broken monitor
:-)

Cheers
John

This is a known issue when you terminal serve into a particular machine.
Once you terminal serve (Remote Desktop) into a computer, the icon for
Windows AntiSpyware (beta) will turn blue. We are working to address this
issue in a future release.

John,
I have seen previous posts on this issue and have yet to see an answer. (of
course I may have missed the answers) Anyway, much to my surprise this
morning I saw that I had a "blue" icon in my system tray. It had always
been red since I installed it. Shortly after I noticed the blue icon, I
also noticed that my cable had gone down. I had no Internet connection. I
had to leave for work while it was still in that condition. When I got
home, cable was back on and I checked the icon in the system tray and it was
red. Thus leading to my suspicion that the color is related to the state of
the internet connection or perhaps the server it is polling. In other words
it is quite possible that even with an internet connection you might see a
blue icon if the microsoft server is not responding for what ever reason.
Just a theory at this point.

Thanks for posting the answer to that puzzle--I'll get it into the FAQ.
(and it doesn't happen on my systems which I TS into all the time.)

Well, strike the connection theory. My systray icon is back to blue and
connection is fine. I ran a manual update and it seems to poll the server
just fine although there were not any updates. Mystery of the blue icon
continues...
