i keep getting a message that this system has recovered
from a serious error. it asks me to send for an error
report which mentions somthing about a device driver.
don't understand how to fix.

What device driver does the message indicate when you click
the more information link?

It is probably a video driver, but it could be something
else. You could open your device manager and look for any
device with a yellow mark. You can update drivers while in
device manager.

Craig,
Can you send me the contents of your "minidump" directory that is contained
in your Windows directory? I want to see if I can help you find out your
problem.
Thanks,

Ah, another ****wit who blames MS for a problem that has nothing whatsoever
to do with them - or Windows for that matter.

Most XP problems can be directly pinned to a faulty keyboard/chair
interface.

That also applies to airplanes, cars and just about
everything else, human/machine interface.
