Hi
I have a problem with someone on messenger and was wondering how best to stp
them hassling me.
I've tried just blocking their user name but they log in under different
ones and adding me to their contact list.
Is there anyway I can block them? Can I hide my IP address from them some
how or block theirs?
I'm no computer buff so some simple explanations would be helpful.
Thank you
Jon

Hello Jonah,

Your problem does not seem to be difficult to resolve, these are some
options that will help to fix the problem....

1. Change your profile. Remove any information that could let them ID you.
Usually these guys use resources like looking for your name or last name,
even your day of birth or address to find you. In that way if you are part of
the MSN community it will be a little difficult to find you.

2. Do not accept invitations if you don't know who the person is. When a
person adds you to their contact list, you receive. As easy for them to email
you or contact you through any other source; don't you believe it?

3. This may look unbelievable but if it is the case that you are being
spyied constantly, I will say try on getting an anonymizer (Mask Surf,
HideIP, Anonymizer, etc.). You have to consider the possibility that there
could be a program logging everything you do in your pc (key loggers). I
recommend to scan your computer with different antispyware, malware programs
or antivirus software (Symantec's Norton Antivirus, ESET's NOD32, AVG
Antivirus, Ad-aware SE Personal, etc.) before you proceed to use software to
hide your pc... Also I recommend to turn on your system firewall and/or use
any other firewall program to monitor your incoming and outgoing traffic so
you can block any suspicious activity.

Any other questions I can help you with, don't hesitate to post them to
assist you...

Good luck!

If he does that, they can still contact them by simply typing in his
emailaddress. It looks like you read that Jonah logged in under difficult
accounts, but the offender changed accounts, not Jonah.
Creating another account could be helpful to Jonah.

That is always possible, but I can't imagine that it would be the origin of
this problem.
