Hi

I would like to know can I block a third party website from accessing the IP address of my computer.Like if I visit a website and I don't want the website to see my IP address, is it possible. An early reply will be appreciated

If you access a website, the website must know your IP
address. If the website didn't know your IP, it would
never be able to send the data of the site back to you,
because it wouldn't know your IP (or where to send it).

Hi!
It is impossible to hide your IP address completely.
IP address must be known but the only thing we can do is
just not to display.

However it can be dealt with beginners/novices. Advanced
computer users can know your IP address easily if they
wish to.

One word of notice, being known of IP address is not the
end of the world. Even they know your IP address, they
may still can't do anything to you if your computer is
well-protected.

As others have said, the far end needs your IP address as
a return address to send the web page to.

The only way you can hide your IP address from a website that I
can think of would be to connect via a public proxy.

Do a google search on 'public proxy' , choose one, and enter it's IP address
into
IE | Tools | Options | Connections tab | Lan Settings

It is a method.
However it is not 100% hidden.

People can still know your IP address if their computer
knowledge is high enough.
