Hi I was hoping someone could help me. Adult content
keeps breaking in to my favorites list. I delete them and
they continue to come back. I just tried system restoring
to an earlier date and then reversed back to present
date. I hope that might do it, but if it continues what
should I do?

run a spyware program, and xteq, see if an executable is
running that does this.

The first time, this is done by a script that hijacks your
home page and favorites. If you do not hit that site (the
one with the popups, or an adult or hacker site) again but
the favorites come back, you have a program doing this
somewhere on the machine. Often, the problem is simply the
altered homepage has evil scripts in it.

Disable install on demand!
Also, I diable all scripting and activex for enhanced
security (it has the side benefit of killing animated ads)
and I use the google toolbar to block popups.
also, do not visit disreputable sites... that helps a lot,
although any site with ads can have a bad ad once in a
while.

I just fixed this for my brother, same thing happened.
First run the program Ad-aware 6.0
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com/) On the left side near the
bottom under Support, you'll find the download link. After
you run that, you find many spy ware programs running on
your system without your knowledge. Then after that, I
reccomend you running Win Patrol
(http://www.winpatrol.com/) There is a free download, you
can look thru the programs that start running at startup,
this will amaze you as to what is starting up and running
when you start Windows. You'll be able to disable or
remove programs you don't recognize or that don't sound
legitamate. Those not legitimate will have no company name
and no other information. I would reccomend only disabling
them verses the removal since some items are in code words
and you may need that to run programs, you can always
change back to able from disable. You can also view all
the cookies on your system and get rid of them. This only
worked after I did both processes using the two softwares.
