Blocking a display setting policy on a machine

I have a domain level policy that enables screen saver and lock time. It's
being applied to all users who log into their workstations. We have a few
development systems that are used by multiple users, and it's a challenge to
locate the person logged in, to unlock the system so a different user can
continue testing.
Is there a way to exclude a machine from a desktop policy setting without
messing around with placing those users into an OU that doesn't inherit the
parent GP?
Thanks in advance.

You can edit the security of the group policy object so that the computer or
user does not have the permission to read and apply group policy. The
following step by step guide goes over a similar scenario
