Hi all,
I have asked a friend of mine to email me his cd label maker program, which
is a very small file size hence the reason to email it to me.
The problem is, this program is a full program in itself and has a .exe
extension and I have Outlook XP, which blocks these types of attachments
with these extensions.
I know the reason for doing this is to prevent virus and such like getting
into my system, however I pay and subscribe to a popular Antivirus company
to ensure that my system is always up to date, I also use a hardware based
firewall as well, which also prevents any 'gremlins' from getting access to
my system.
It seems ridiculous that Outlook XP dosn't even give the user a choice of
whether or not they want to accept certain attachments. I know that this
one I am trying to recieve is from a trused source, and I have plent of
systems in place which prevent any unauthorised access to my PC.
Is there any way that I can recieve this attachment from my friend?
Many thanks in advance
Mark
