Blocked Ad's Question

I probably have the reverse issue of most folks. I asked a question that I
thought I found the answer for.. and now it's popped up again.

I'm trying to access Live Help at Ebay. When I click on the icon I get a
"popup" that says: "Cannot find Server.. page can not be displayed" and
tells you to check a few things which don't affect my being able to connect
to live help.

Also notice.. when I access Hotmail.. there are a number of ads that don't
show.. and all boxes have the same notice.. "Can not find server.. etc)

Now, last time I had the problem.. I killed Spybot and Adaware.. and one of
those "I Believe" fixed the problem because I was able to reaccess Live
Help.

I have the problem back.. I tried disabling both.. no effect.. deleted both
programs.. no effect.

Is there some other utility in IE that might be causing me not to be able to
connect.. or view those ads.

Any help appreciated..

Bill,

This sounds like a browser or dns hijack. If AdAware or Spybot fixed
the problem, but only temporarily, you now need HijackThis. HJT will
require expert advice to interpret its output. SWI Forums is the
