I am dragging and dropping data from a 3rd party
application to an Excel worksheet. It creates a new
worksheet when I drag and drop. It automatically converts
text to a date format when I have text strings like '12-
01' to 1-Dec. I DO NOT want it to do this conversion. I
formatted the Cells to General before and after the drag
and drop - but that doesn't help. I also tried Text -
nothing.
I also tried toggling Tools->Options->Transition formula
entry and evaluation boxes, but since a new worksheet is
being created at the time of the drag and drop - the
Options don't get applied to the newly created sheet.
Is there a way to turn cell format intellisense off and
have it off for all worksheets?
