Either will work just fine, your choise will depend on your specific
project. I find that storing blobs as files on a server is the easier of
the two but that is not alway feasable.
Some questions you might want to think about:
Are these files going to be edited by multiple people?
Are you going to need to keep multiple versions of each file?
Do you need to be able to access the file outside of the application your
are building?
That should get you on the right track toward figuring out which method
you should use.
