Will my WinXP machines which are in a home network behind a router
with NAT be infected by this Blaster Worm?

Thank you!!

The question you _should_ be asking _yourself_ is "Have I patched this
box yet?" and if the answer is "No"... your next query should be
m$.coms' search and get it.

If I understand it correctly, you should not need the patch if you have
applied the regular updates you are prompted to by XP.
The number is 823980 and it seems to have been among the regular updates.
This information has not been included by Microsoft (typical!).
Hope that someone can confirm this.

Yes, it was 'pre SP2 hotfix KB823980' and went out on/around 16th July.
Ancient history now.

(MS changed the numbering for some reason .. gone from being 'Q<digits>'
to 'KB<digits>')

You SHOULD block TCP/UDP ports 135 ~ 139 and 445 on your Router.
