blank viewing screen

I am in a CIS101 class and had to creat a document with
endnotes on a separate page. I went to print preview and
they appeared there. I printed a hard copy and they
printed out. When I sent the file to the instructor the
endnotes page was blank with only a title. When I went in
to view it, they still showed on print preview but on the
screen the page was blank. Can anyone tell me why this
happened? I think it may be happening on another document
I am having to create to send to him. I don't want to
make the same mistake again.
 
If they work for you but not for the instructor then a likely explanation is
the difference between the printer drivers you are both using which are to a
large extent responsible for the formatting. Word documents are not readily
transportable between platforms without some measure of reformatting taking
place.

Find out what printer driver the instructor is using and install it on you
machine, then use it to format the document. Better still send the document
as PDF, for which you'll need more software - see the links at
