Blank thumbnails in task panes

I have been wrestling with the "blank thumbnails in task panes" problem
since I needed to reformat and reinstall everything on my computer a month
ago. I tried everything at this site, http://pptfaq.com/FAQ00779.htm, to no
avail (there were a couple of add-ons I couldn't figure out how to disable).
Finally I decided to uninstall a few programs and see what happened. The
culprit in my case turned out to be "File, Print FedEx Kinko's ." Prior to
my computer rebuild I had been using "File, Print FedEx Kinko's " and
PowerPoint without any problems, so something that has been fairly recently
recently updated must cause the problem. Windows and Office info follows.
