Blank Spots

Chris

I have never seen a problem like this. It is hard to
describe. I have a web page. On the page, there are
several "hover" buttons. When I click a button, the next
page comes up and, where the buttons were on the first
page, there are now blank spots in the shape of the
buttons. This is especially troublesome when viewing a
picture as there will be blank spots in it. If I can
scroll up far enough so the blank spots move up out of
view, then scroll back down, the spots are gone. If I
open up another window, even from another program, then
close the window, the spots return. Does this make any
sense? Can anyone help?

Chris,

I have seen this before in some web pages.

What is happening is that the spot where the buttons were located is
not being redrawn by the browser. It's either a video problem or your
cpu is being overused, either by the browser, by other cpu intensive
code in the web page itself, or by spyware or other programs running
on the computer.

Can you provide some example URLs?

Have you observed this behaviour on more than one computer? Please
describe the computer(s) where this was observed. Brand, model, cpu
speed, operating system, operating system version, browser, browser
version all may be relevant.

Try:
1) Update your video drivers.
2) Update your browser.
3) Check your browser security settings.

4) Check your computer for spyware. Use HijackThis, Spybot S&D, and
expert advice at SWI Forums (all free). Complete instructions are
