I just updated to PowerPoint 2003 from 2002. In my
presentation, I have slides that are blank or part of the
slide appears but the rest doesn't. It was working good
in 2002. Most of them are working OK but just 1 or 2 in
middle of presentation are now blank. They look OK in
slide sorter view.

There have been quite a number of updates already for Office 2003 since last
October. And SP1 came out only a couple of days ago. In one of the Office
programs click on Help and have the program look for updates on Microsoft's
website. Install them all. That should do the trick, as one of them is
correcting the phenomenon you describe.

Kind regards,
Ute

I downloaded Service Pack 1 tonight and updated Office
2003. I rebooted the computer and then viewed the Slide
Show from Power Point. The slides are still blank. Any
other ideas?

Had a colleague in the exact same situation yesterday. Well, similar -- her
backgrounds weren't showing up in the normal slide view, but they would show
up on the thumbnails pane to the left. Turning her hardware acceleration all
the way down resolved it. See http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm
for instructions.

FWIW, my first suggestion would also have been to install the critical
patch/SP-1 for Office 2003, though, as that's the "first line of defense"
for missing images in PPT 2003.
