blank screen W2K

Hi @ll,

we have a problem on some W2K Servers (SP4). If you
connect to the console (e.g. by using pcAnywhere or
Remote Inside Board) the screen is blank (background
only). There is no reaction to a Ctrl Alt Del command, so
we have no possibility to logon to the system. The
connection by terminal session is OK. After a server
reboot the problem seems to be fixed, but a few day later
the problem appears again. Do you know a solution for
this issue ?

This sounds like a display compatibility problem with
pcAnywhere (resolution, number of colours). But why
use pcAnywere if you can use Terminal Server / Remote
Desktop?

Hi,

Thanks for your answer, but I do not think that it is a
display compatability problem with PCA, because we have
the same problem when using the remote console login via
Remote Insite Board. Some applications require a console
login to function properly. Any other suggestions ?
