blank pages

I have to run some reports from fields that contain long strings. Most of my reports will have 5-6 fields

Many times I do not have the time to create custom reports so I just run the wizard but the problem is that the data overflows on the pages and even though I select for it to fit on a single page (usually landscape) the actual report ends up with blank pages, usually the even numbered sheets (though the actual page numbers on the report are correct)

I looked up that fix for this on the main website but it does not help. I tried downsizing the area of the report, plus shrinking the controls, etc. but it seems that once the report was created the darn thing has the settings memorized or smth. and it just keeps on printing those extra pages.

I've lost patience for this. Is there any one out there who's seen the problem and dealt with it successfully

Thanks
pepe

The usual cause of blank pages in a report is that the combined width
of the report plus the width of the left and right margins is greater
than the width of the paper.
Either make the width of the report shorter or decrease the width of
the left and right margins, or both.

If you can't drag the right edge of the report towards the left you
probably have a control (usually a line) extending to the current
right position. It can be just at the extreme top or bottom of a
section which means it is going to be hard to see in Design View.
Use the Object drop-down control to highlight each line in turn until
you find the culprit. Reposition it or make it shorter, then drag the
right edge to the wanted size.

Another possible cause is the length of the report is too long. Make
the Top and Bottom margins smaller and make the length of the report
shorter.

Fred,

I will most certainly give that a shot. Thank you
