Hello

Windows XP pro updated.
No virus or spyware.

I downloaded a programe from the internet and then de-installed it (after 5
mins). Since then when I visit some sites which I often do, such google,
BBC, newspapers, a blank page appears. If I keep trying to open google for
example, the page appears ultimately, randomly. The BBC page does also
appear after many attemps, but with no pictures. Other sites do open as
usual.

I tried to re-register: Shdocvw.dll, Oleaut32.dll, Mshtml.dll, Browseui.dll,
Shell32.dll; but this did not help. I also remove cookies and did a bit of
cleaning from the Internet Options. This did not help too.

Can anyone please help ?

Regards

Best

Hi Best :-)

Do you have a restore point to a date/time prior to when you installed the
program? If so, then do the restore and see if that helps. The program may
have messed up some files somewhere and this will undo any harmful effects,
as well as make sure there are no residual files in the registry to tinker
with things.

Did you recently update to Flash 8.0.24.0? There's a bug in it that causes
any site powered by Flash to appear blank. See my posting under Bug in Latest
Flash Player 8.0.24.0.
