Blank page when logging request through the web

Hello Everyone,

Windows XP SP1 and SP2

We have a system log through the internal web, i.e. when
a user has a problem s/he can either telephone to the
Service desk, send an email, or log the problem through
the company web interface. 5 users out of 500 complained
that when they tried to log a problem through the web and
then click on 'submit', they received a blank page
instead of the reference of the log.

We are thinking that it might (just might) be a problem
with some settings in their IE. Are we right or wrong ?
Can anyone give us some indications which might help us ?

Much appreciated.

Hi Best,

I would like to confirm that if this issue only occurs in your company web
site? What is the result if they visit other website, such as google.com or
yahoo.com? Do they also get the blank page when click on a link on
google.com?

Based on my research, this issue could be cause by two causes, one is there
is something wrong on the computer website; the other is that the incorrect
IE settings or third-party plug-ins has caused this issue.

According to my experience, troubleshooting this kind of issue could be

Hello Rebecca and thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately I tried all the steps but it didn't seem to
work. I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to
solve this problem to no avail. The Event Viewer is not
logging anything which would have been of help to us. If
you have any further idea, please do not hesitate. If
not, we would like to thank you very much for your
input. We appreciated it.

Kind regards.

Hi Best,

One factor I would like to confirm is that does the blank page occur when
you click the submit button to open a NEW windows or in the original window?

Based on my further research, this issue could be caused by the corrputed
dll file. Please use the following steps to regster the dll files:

1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer.

2. Click Start, and then click Run.

3. Type "regsvr32 /i Urlmon.dll" (without the quotation marks), and then
click
OK.

4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded"
message, click
OK, and check if the issue remains.

If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of
the
following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file names
below):

- Shdocvw.dll
- Msjava.dll
- Actxprxy.dll
- Oleaut32.dll
- Mshtml.dll
- Browseui.dll
- Shell32.dll

I believe this helps.

Any update, let us get in touch!

Best regards,
