Blank line in Linded Excel File

I have a linked table to an Excel file that has a blank line in it. I cannot
delete it. The problem it causes me is when I run queries on the table and
sort ascending this blank line comes to the top. I look at my Excel worksheet
a do a current regions select it doesn't show a blank line in the
spreadsheet. Any help you may give me will be greatly appreciated.

If, in your query, you use a selection criterion of "Not Null" (or perhaps,
<>""), does it exclude the "blank line"?

The blank line doesn't show when I eliminate it with criteria. But I would
like to understand why it is in the table to start with. Any ideas. Did I
select something incorrectly setting up the link?

As I recall, if I put a value in a field, then highlight & delete it, the
field is no longer NULL (unknown) but is now zls.
