blank home page browser

I have always used the blank home page when opening
internet explorer. For some unknown reason, it will not
stay blank, no matter how many times I re-set it, and tell
it to apply. It keeps going back to the home page of the
company I used to work for.

What can I do to make the home page stay blank?
