When I open by new document page, a document that I typed previously always appears. I have tried to delete the information on the page but that does not work. Each time I open a new page I have to type over the text that is already on the page. Could I have changed by global settings for word? Any body know how I can fix it?

In Windows Explorer, press Ctrl+F, and search for Normal.dot. or select Start,
Find , Files or folders, and search for Normal.dot. If your Explorer settings
have been set not to display known file extensions, you may not see the “.dotâ€
extension. Open Normal.dot (normal) by right-clicking on the file and choosing
Open. You can now delete any unwanted text, change margins etc and resave the
Normal.dot. It may be a good idea to make a back up copy before editing the
Normal.dot. By using this method you will be able to save any customizations you
have made including autotext entries.

If you just want a new Normal.dot, close Word and locate the Normal.dot and
rename it. Normal.old. Then restart Word. It will create a new Normal.dot.
Beware that any autotext entries and other customizations will be lost when you
create a new Normal.dot. Some are easy to salvage and some are not. Where
possible try cleaning up the Normal.dot rather than creating a new one.
