blank document is messed up

A user has brought me his laptop and everytime he opens
up Word a document stating happy birthday is there. I
have reinstalled office and it is still there. Where does
word get its balnk doc from? How can I fix this?

I deleted the user template inside /doc&
settings/username/application data/templates

I had the same problem and it drove me crazy for a week. I
also deleted and reinstalled word. Check the following
folders for the file with the title happy birthday; look
in: documents & settings, then administrator, then
application data, then microsoft office, then recent.
Delete the file with the name Happy Birthday. Word gets a
blank document from the normal.doc in templates.
