1. I get a blank desktop upon startup, no icons or start menu button, only
wallpaper.
2. Right click does not work.
3. Ctrl+Alt+Del does not work. Response is error message "Task Manager has
been disabled by your administrator." I think this part might be due to
spyware problem.
4. Cannot start in safe mode (repeated F8 while starting).
5. Also tried inserting XP disc, no success.

Any suggestions???

Did you insert the XP disk before or after boot?

I tried both inserting XP disk while powered on, then also tried reboot with
XP disk. Neither worked. I'm losing hope.
Thanks for the input.

The reason it did not boot with the XP disk is that your PC is set to
boot from your "C" drive which is currently disabled. Your PC has to
be reset to boot from your CD, probably your "D" or "E" drive. You
can change the settings in the BIOS to boot from the CD drive to enable
the boot. Good luck :~)
