Ken,

I don't think I explained my self very good.
Let's say I have a list of part number on the first column
and on next columns I have information about those parts.
The last column is formula which regarding all the
information would give you a value. This value could be
nothing or some number. What I want to do is, in some
other worksheet, I get only part number of parts that have
value and leave out the ones that dont have value.

I have tried filter but that would update it automatically.

Thanks
Bruce

I think I know what you want - its something similar to what I've done. I do this in 2 steps, but to work I have both worksheets within the same workbook / file. Does this sound like what you want to do ..
I have a list of items (each item has a number of other values such as category and description). One of the values for each item is a state which is something like Open, Available finished etc. What I want is to see only those items that are open but only certain parts of the other stored detail. I use another sheet within the workbook to show what I want as a summary

If this is what you are trying to do, then I did this ..

Go to the new worksheet (the one to contain the values that you are interested in)
Click on the first cell that you want to contain a value. Enter and equals sign then select the value on the other worksheet. Copy this down so that you have all the values (regardless to whether they are blank or not)
Turn on the auto filter on that spreadsheet ... Make sure you have the the cell above your first value selected (it may be your heading)
Select Data / Filter / Autofilte
This should add arrows to the top of the spreadsheet
To restricted to the data that you want, select the arrow on the row that you want
Select the Custom optio
Change equals to 'does not equal' then in the field next to it enter the value you DONT want to display

A filter will be updated each time you open the spreadsheet. If you want to force it to update then select the arrow again (shoudl be blue now) then select custom again and press the OK button without making any changes

Email me if this doesn't work.
