Brand New Thinkpad Z60 with DVD/CD Multi Burner. Windows XP Home.

Insert music CD - Plays fine
Insert Data CD - Plays fine

Insert Blank CD-R, close tray, immediately get BSOD (Blue Screen) and
message BAD_POOL_HEADER. This is Repeatable, happens every time

Called Lenovo, received NEW DVD/CD Multi Burner, same problem exists after
installing new drive.

Unit is nearly brand new.

Any ideas anyone??

Thanks!!!

Call Lenovo again. Provide any data they will request (crash dumps etc.).

Hi

I have seen this problem before, chances are there is a problem with the
driver but I have known an under powered power supply to cause this problem,
have you tried the drive in another PC ?
