I used a reg patch to keep mozilla from hogging the browser default, now I
get a completely blank browser when hitting a hyperlink in email, my home
page is fine, just nothing in address bar. Any ideas?
Thanks =0)

Did you export the Registry key first before editing it? Just Import the key
to restore it.

Well, ..... :-)

OK, Since I am *not* a Registry Expert myself - which is why I definitely
back-up the Key - I cannot say yet what you might do to correct this entry.
But let us start the simple way, and see if this works first.
Internet Options>Programs tab>check-mark the box Internet Explorer should
check to see whether it is the default Browser>Apply>OK out.

In the Registry I have ""="IExplore" in any location that shows
""="FIREFOX" in yours.

IF, you decide to change any of those settings, *make sure* you back the
keys up by Exporting them first. I'll see what else I can find in the
meantime.

See these and see if there is something that might address your Blank Page
issue.

From Sandi Hardmeiers site (Thanks Sandi)
thought installing Mozilla 0.9.2 (which, may I say, is damned SLOW to start
up) was quite a polite event, especially considering the fact that I didn't
allow it to take over any defaults as part of the install.

But still, I discovered that hyperlinks in emails weren't working properly
anymore - IE was opening, but just to a blank window. No attempt to access
the URL was made.

Somehow or other, WWW_OpenURL disappeared out of 'topic' in the default open
action for the URL:Hypertext Transfer protocols and Gopher - nothing else
was out of whack - go figure :-/

Some knowledge base articles addressing the blank window problem are:
