When I'm in a Business Contact and I try to link an Account to the contact,
my Account List is blank...I'm not able to see the list. Vice versa, when
I'm in an Account and I try to add business contacts by selecting from the
list, my business contact list is blank. I have already tried to clear the
forms manager cache, as indicated in a previous support log. I have also
tried to search for the extend.dat, outcmd.dat, and frmcache.dat files as
indicated in microsoft's support pages. Neither solution worked for me. I
then tried to setup a new user profile, but I still was not able to see the
account/business contact lists. Does anyone have any solutions for me?

Hi Sierra,

I think a number of us are having this problem. I have recorded mine in
"Blan lists when adding contact..." Do a search on "Adrian" in this list and
you'll find it. I have put in a call to Microsoft and if they can solve it I
will post the solution under my problem. However I don't advise holding your
breath. It looks to me as though there is a problem with the colour of the
fonts used for display. For example, from the main outlook pane choose file
- business database - properties. I have a blank list of one entry. If I
hold my left mouse button down on the entry I can see what it says. Bizarre
or what?

Best wishes

I have pretty much had it with the add-ins, they have too many problems.
I also keep loosing the attachment from Accounts to Contacts. Now, I put a
reminder to back up once a week into outlook and when it bombs, I just
re-install. I am not using it anymore for many contacts, just for vendors
because of the instability.

I am now trying Quickbooks Customer Manager, an add-in to quickbooks for my
customers, but it also crashed on me, but they have an automatic back-up
built in and I was able to get the data back.

Outlook has always been a good program, never could understand why from the
beginning, Microsoft to start with did not recognize that outlook, as a
business tool, needed to have a company and contact database.

This has aleviated my problem. Now I can get to see the lists by following
the step below, but it is only a work around. The problem still keeps
recurring. :-

Restart the MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM service
===================================
1. Log on with an administrator account.
2. Click start-> Run
3. Input "services.msc /s" on the blank and then click ¡°OK¡±
4. Find “MSSQL$MICROSOFT BCM†and double click it
5. Choose the General tab
6. Click Stop to run the service
7. Double click “MSSQL$MICROSOFT BCM†again
8. Choose the General tab
9. Click Start to run the service
10. Close the Services window.

Other possible fixes are:-

Start Outlook in safe mode
=======================
1. Make sure Outlook is not running.
2. Click Start -> Run, type "Outlook /Safe" (Quotation marks are not
included and there is a space between Outlook and /safe) and press Enter.
3. Test to see if the problem goes away.

Running database maintenance
=====================
Click File -> Business database -> maintenance to run the Business database
maintenance to see if this resolves the problem.

Clear Cache.
==========
1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Other tab.
2. Click Advanced Options.
3. In the Advanced Options box, click Custom Forms.
4. In the Custom Forms box, click Manage Forms.
5. In the Forms Manager box, click Clear Cache.

Hope this helps anyone else who has the same problem.

Best wishes

Excellent! I, at one point spent my $35.00 to call microft and had them help
me re-coop my business manager, but I could not quite remember how to do it
when it happend again. So I resolved it with re-installing.
Your post, I am printed it to my paperport where I created a help folder and
it is save and sound there until I need it again.
Thanks,
Anne
