I am running Windows 2000 terminal services and have about 13 Win CE thin
clients that connect to this server on a LAN. Periodically on the thin
clients during the day, black spots appear on the users screens. It may just
be the Start button turns black or the whole folder list side bar in Outlook
2003 or half the page in Internet Explorer. If I refresh the desktop nothing
changes either. As I move the mouse around in the black areas some of it
will come back to the normal screen. Any help you can offer is greatly
appreciated!

Your thin clients are, most likely, running out of memory. I remember having
this problem a while back. Check with your thin client vendor for a fix of
the thin client. Another option is to offload every unnessessary task that
thin clients are performing.
What model is it, anyway?

and what client version is there on your toaster? on a normal PC (with an XP
or NT installed) versions 6.3 and 7.0 are known to cause a number of display
issues. they are generally solved by modifyinng the appsrv.ini file (the
[wfclient] section or by upgrading to client 8. what is the mechanism your
terminals r using to get their appsrv.ini settings?
