Black Background- Can't read anything

When changing screen backgrounds, somehow came up with
black background..of course with black text...cant read
anything in order to change it back. Is there a series of
keyboard strokes or any other miracle to correct this?

Jack,

If you can get to your desktop, right click anywhere on it and press 'r' on your keyboard. This will
get you the Display properties. Here you can easily change the background, wallpapers etc.
