black and white photos

i'm a bit of a computer spa but have just got a digital camera and am trying
to change the photos from colour into black and white. i have now idea how to
do this, if anypne has any suggestions i would really appreciate it.

Most all image editors have an option
for grayscale (commonly called B&W).

Any one of the following freebies can
provide the option you require.
