Hello all,
I would like information on scanning very fine black and white line art
drawings, I would also like to talk to other people who do pen and ink
artwork.
Thanks in advance,
Grant.

Depending on the thickness of the lines, 600 DPI will usually work very
well.
I have found that 300 DPI will miss fine lines. Use more resolution if the
fine lines do not show or broken.

B&W mode (Line Art or Text mode) for pencil drawings on white or yellow
paper. Adjust the threshold level as necessary to bring out the lighter
lines.
Sometimes you may have to scan in Gray scale mode and tweak the brightness
and contrast settings.

Sometimes you can enhance a drawing when a scan isn't very impressive.
I wanted to use some illustrations from an old book on a web page but they
lines didn't show no matter how high I set the resolution. I used "erode"
(I think it was) in Paint Shop Pro and they looked great afterwards.
