Hey everyone,
Well, all of the sudden, my DVD player has stopped
acting like one -- it can read regular CDs and play
audio/video on them no problem. BUT, when I put a DVD in,
it either totally malfunctions, or more often, the Audio
and Video (mostly audio) are completely choppy... and it
exactly matches the flashing of the DVD drive light and
Hard drive light -- they're both going a million blinks an
hour when the DVD goes in -- you know how normally the DVD
light slowly blinks and occasionally the hard drive light
blinks... well, that isn't happening. I haven't done a
damn thing to my computer, there's 356 MB of RAM, plently
of Hard Drive space etc... the drive's clean. So, I'm
really confused -- is there something to do with buffers,
cache size, etc, or is there something with the intrinsic
recognition of the DVD drive? I will be forever grateful
if someone could help me with this! Thanks a bunch...

I have the same exact problem. It worked fine for a
while, now DVDs play very poorly. The audio is very
choppy and also makes the images chop along with it. The
video works fine if I mute the speakers. My sound card
seems OK too, as it will play mpegs, and CDs with out any
hassles. Help! Ideas?
