I just upgraded a user's computer from Windows 2000 to XP and applied all the
updates and service packs. When I log on as the local user account the person
has always been using and try to run IE 6.0 nothing happens. iexplore.exe is
listed in the task manager but the program does not launch. If I log out and
log in as the local administrator account IE runs fine. The local user
account the person is logging in under has administrator rights to the local
pc.
I have run hijack this and checked for BHO's or spyware and found nothing.
So does anyone have any idea on why IE will run in the task manager but not
launch the window under one local user account, but run perfectly fine under
the local administrator account? When both have administrator rights.
Thanks in advance.
