bitlocker error msg

"Insufficient disk space for bitlocker drive encryption to encrypt the
drive."
The vista drive has 200g free space.
Anyone know why bitlocker is giving me this msg when I try to encrypt
drive????

Respectfully expressed, did you follow the Step-by-Step instructions for
activating BitLocker?

Do you have a special HDD partition at least 1.5 Gig for installing the
BitLocker Key Code?
