Windows XP Bit Torrent?

Has anyone here had any experience with the application Bit Torrent? I've downloaded it and tried to run it, but I don't seem to be able to download files... I'm not sure if this is because my university network blocks this app, or if I am just unlucky.

Any ideas?
 
Just ask your uni computer whizz kid to open a port for you to use. I did and they were cool about it when I told em what I would be downloading...
