Birthdays not exporting

I have exported a number of contacts with the person's name and birth date,
but when I import this Contact list on a different computer, the birthdays do
not show up on the calendar. Why is this?

As has been posted here daily, never use export/import to move data between
two Outlook instances. There's no reason and you lose data. The connection
between contacts and calendar is only one of the data items you'll lose.
