Bios upgrade

You need to contact the manufacturer for BIOS update information.
Most manufacturer's offer software upgradable ROM's and the tools to do so
on their websites.

Why do you want to upgrade your BIOS. If you are getting error messages
telling you to update the BIOS you need to, but if you want to update it
just to update it, don't. Fooling around with the BIOS if you aren't certain
what you are doing is very dangerous, and may leave you with a very
expensive door stop. If you are sure you need to update your BIOS go to the
website for the maker of your motherboard, you should find specific
instructions there. But if you aren't sure how to update the BIOS don't do
it.

I agree that one shouldn't update BIOS just because "there's a newer
version out there." It can be a dangerous procedure if you are a
novice and don't know what you are doing.

I disagree with the "expensive doorstop" part, though. A new BIOS
chip isn't all that expensive, and costs less than the bench fee
needed at the shop to pull the trashed chip and replace it with the
new one. It can all be done, easily, for $100 or so, which is MUCH
cheaper than a new computer. It's still a lot of money to risk just
to update something that doesn't need upgrading, though.
