When updating the bios, and there are two newer releases available at
the manufactures website, is there any need to install both in turn or
just the latest one.

Unless you`ve got a good reason to upgrade
(more features etc.), I wouldn`t even bother.

In other words, if it ain`t broke, don`t fix it.

The first update is for the next line of CPU's, and the last update is
bug fixes for the new 45nm CPU. Both bin files are the same size.

BIOS ID:15
Support Wolfdale & Yolkfield CPU.
Support the pin definition of Front Audio adjusting function.
BIOS compiled date: 08/14/2007

BIOS ID:16
1. Update CPU micro code to support 45nm CPU
2. Fixed 45nm CPU incorrect temperature.
3. BIOS compiled date: 12/17/2007.

When updating the bios...only use the update that fixes your particular
problem.

If there are no problems...then DO NOT update the bios.

It's possible to totally kill your machine if the flash fails

As others have said, don't update a BIOS unless the update fixes
something you're having problems with. But if you do need to update,
flash only the latest. It will include past fixes as well.

Thank you for your replies, when the time comes, I will only need to
Risk my motherboard once, by then there might be other bios updates
available. I will continue to download them so that I will have the
latest update when it is needed.
