I have updated bios flashed on 6/11/03. XP keeps
stopping and locks up in the middle of things. How can I
fix this. Event #4 Event #5. Why do I keep receiving
errors of not enough memory. Update Bios? Thanks in
advance for any advise on how to fix this problem.

Flashing the bios is seldom the answer to computer problems. As far as your
error messages, it might help to know the exact wording of the message, and
how you're getting them -- a pop-up, within a program, on a blue screen, in
the event viewer?

Take a look at these two sites.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q283649
http://www.microsoft.com/hwdev/tech/onnow/BIOSAML.asp

Then goto your motherboard manufacturer's website and get the latest bios
and see if it resolves this problem. If it doesn't, contact your
motherboard manufacturer and ask them to resolve this issue, citing the two
links above.

Most current motherboards, if they haven't had the issue resolved already,
have fixes forthcoming in a future bios upgrade.
