BIOS problems

OK seems to me I blew..
O contacted Compaq on my laptop (presario 2700) problem of
not being able to load XP with Power cord , however worked
ok with battery, and then shus qown quickly.
Compaq advised me to re-load BIOS from a site they gave me.
This load went fine, until programming the 8th block, it
got stuck there .

Nothing can be done other than shut it down...

The lapt top does not respond to power button. Its dead.

Iam tired.. Any thing I can do on my own,,

What, exactly, has this to do with Windows XP? You must persevere with HP,
this has nothing to do with Windows (there are no Windows components loaded
at boot).

Your only recourse is with HP.
