I'm installing a new computer and have it all together except for the
video card which I won't get delivered until the end of the week, and
the suspense is killing me: Do I need the card to get a POST or even a
partical bios. The fan works but that's all. Just a quick answer,
please, to get me out of my miserie. Thanks./

Do systems still beep without video attched?? Youcould also look for num
lock and scroll lock leds flicker

Or should I have answered...after all, suspense is half the thrill of
building your own :)

Might as well wait or borrow a video card. How would you expect
to see the POST screen or the bios screen when there is no video
card? Moreover, RTFM...a video card may be a requirement in order
to boot the motherboard. 'tis better to wait for the video card
for when the video card arrives, there might not be a motherboard
or CPU for it to work with.

Does the motherboard have built in video? (most of them do anymore)

If so then just hook the monitor up to the built in video and boot it.

OMG, I hope the original poster DIDN'T OVERSEE that!

But im betting he would know if his new pc would have it built in
