BIOS Memory caching/shadowing?

WIN XP Home Ed, SP3...and there's that blue screen again! MS Help suggests
disabling BIOS Memory Options caching and shadowing....but where do I find
it? It isn't in F8 or F2!
Did not have setting not to auto restart so was not able to get blue screen
msg, but this is the closest Event Viewer:

Does the above help you; it sure doesn't help me. Will appreciate your
expert advise.
 
It's part of your BIOS Settings. Watch the boot screen for which key to
press to access it.

Don't understand. This morning computer was shut down for unknown reason.
Started from the computer button and black screen had note to go to F8 for
settings. Restarted in Safe Mode and out of curosity pressed for "boot
logging." Don't know what this is going to do; usually just go to Windows
Home Edition. I do not know how to change and/or set BIOS settings.

Neighbor, relative, anyone else that uses a computer? What you need to
do is turn Off memory caching and shadowing, apparently.

Sorry; guess I went over your head without meaning to. I'll try to
simplify it a little bit:

The BIOS Settings are where you turn those off but you may need help to
identify which ones to turn off. It varies by computer how you enter
the BIOS setting screen, so watch your computer when it boots: The first
screen should have a couple of short lines that say "Press Fx for boot
options" and "Press Fy for BIOS settings" or something similar to that.
The wording varies and where it appears on the screen varies by
manufacturer. Sometimes you have to watch closely to spot the messages.
They can come and go very quickly. So, it is says for instance, "Press
F2 to enter the System BIOS Settings", press F2 WHILE that message is
showing on the screen. It might not be F2. It might be Delete or some
other key, so watch the screen closely. If the message goes away, you
missed you chance and will have to start it again to watch for when to
press the F key.

Are you having any further problems NOW with your computer? Maybe it
was just a one time thing, 'glitch' for want of a better word. If
everything seems to be working OK you can likely safely ignore the
message unless you get it more than the one time.
Before you say the computer is OK, be sure to do a Restart or do a
Shut Down and then turn it back on. If you do not get the error message
again, all should be fine.

If you do get that message again, write it down, exactly, and post
back here with the entire message and what you did just before it
appeared.
When you post back, also include the brand and model of your computer
and any other information you think might be useful. For example, I
have a Gateway E510 with a Pentium 4 cpu and 1.5 Gig of memory and my
disk drive has 122 Gig of free space. Just give as much identifying
info for the computer as you can or know. If you don't have enough
information and more is needed someone will tell you how to get the
needed information.

"boot loggin": You turned on a monitor that will record all the
programs and jobs that happen when your computer boots (starts) up. It
isn't likely to be useful to you, but leave it turned on for now, in
case someone would like to see what's in the log file. After the
problem/s fixed, then you can turn it back off if you wish to. It
doesn't hurt anything to have it on and not need it.
