Hi Everybody,
Swapped out a 2.4GHz cpu for a 3.06 one on my P4T533-C.
On boot up, the post screen says BIOS info incorrect...cpuid ....and some
numbers.
The system seems to be functioning completely normal.
Is this anything to be concerned with?
Thanks for the info,
Scot

It is probably just telling you that it noticed that you changed CPUs.
On an Athlon board, you would need to go into the BIOS and set the
correct bus frequency and multiplier for the new CPU (the default
after a change is an "ultra-conservative" setting). I don't know
whether the same applies to Intel boards, but you may need to go in
and resave the BIOS anyway to tell the board to remember the new CPU
type.

You need to update your BIOS so that they CPU is correctly identified at
boot up.
Leaving things as they are will not harm anything except you will see the
error message every time your boot up your computer.
Cheers

Your current system bios does not recognize the new processor wrt microcode
updates. Update the system bios...
