I want to upgrade to XP and have been trying to find out
if my BIOS will handle it. I'm running Award BIOS
v4.60PGA (02/28/2002-SiS-730-6a6ISE19C-00) on an AMD Duron
1.3 Ghz motherboard. Is this adequate?

I am running XP on several computers but not on a real old
one that could only handle a pII 333 or less. It still
runs 98. It should load fine on yours

its not a question of your BIOS handling XP its your
motherboard. go to START->RUN->DXDIAG and look at "system
manufacturer" and "system model"

the manufacturer is who made your motherboard and the
model is which model number it is.

im pretty sure your motherboard will be fine on XP though.
