The BIOS is not on the hard dirve; it is part of the motherboard in some
solid-state type memory. Programss like DriveImage, Ghost, and TrueImage
restore disk images only. In some cases they can also restore the boot
record of the disk, but even that is not the norm.
While I have heard of programs that claim to save BIOS settings, the
sure-fire way to save settings is to slowly page through the BIOS setup
screens and take digital pictures of them. For some computers you can print
the information via the PrtScr key. (May not work if printer is USB
connected.)
Finally, as for the BIOS program itself, PC makers (and motherboard makers)
offer downloadable BIOSs. Get the latest one for your PC, and copy to a
bootable floppy, just in case.
