I installed a new 250 gb Maxtor ATA hard drive on my Pentium 3 Aptiva Desktop. Iformated the drive and installled Windows XP and the system booted up fine. Then I was required to restart the system. The drive spins up but no BIOS or anything else displays on my Monitor. Nothing. I checked the connections and the hard drive and monitor are attached correctly. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Do you see anything on the monitor? You may have loosened the video card or
cable when you were changing the drive. Reseat the video card and check the
cable connection for the monitor.

Will the bios see a drive of 250 GB on your machine. I have heard that the
bios had to be updated on some machines when installing over 120 GB . Jym
