Its me

Hi
I have a PC that is 2 years old and stock standard off the shelf
It hasn't been used for 6 months and when I start it up, I get no Video
signal to the monitor
Every 4th or 5th power up I get one long and 3 short beeps however most
power-ups there are no beeps at all
It sounds like the HD is seeking and the fan is working fine
Any thoughts?
With thanks
Stephen

No. Although beep-signals vary by bios manufacturer, the most
likely cause in this case is a Video adapter that is no longer
properly seated. (Disconnect power, open the case. Reseat the
card the VGA cable is connected to. Note that there may be some
kind of clip or ty wrap on the other site of the card.)

(My guess is, it's an AGP card :-)

Ah. That can also mean 'PC upsite down' :-)

It simply sounds like your AGP card just needs to be reseated.
